What Is Contiform?
Worn discreetly and comfortably inside the vagina, Contiform stops wetness by supporting the urethra and restoring the body’s natural anatomy. Contiform gently ‘exercises’ the pelvic floor muscle to bring about long-term improvement in muscle tone.
Contiform can be easily inserted by patients in the privacy of their own home. It compresses down and is inserted into the vagina in much the same way as you would insert a tampon. It can be worn all day, every day, or simply during activities such as exercising. Many women prefer the reassurance of wearing it constantly to avoid leaking when coughing, sneezing or laughing. However, Contiform should be removed for cleaning at night.
For hygiene and efficacy purposes, Contiform should be replaced every 45-60 days (or longer if used infrequently).
Designed by one of Australia’s leading gynaecologists, Contiform has particular appeal for active women. It can also be used successfully by new mothers, although not within six weeks of delivery.
Women who use Contiform find they can lead a full and active life. No longer do they feel they have to stay at home for fear of leaking!
For first time users, we recommend that you have Contiform fitted by a professional continence nurse to ensure it is inserted correctly.
We also recommend that you use the removal ribbon with the Contiform unit as it makes removing Contiform much safer and easier.
